I've done the scary deed and for the very first time outside of this blog, I have submitted my work for public review to Clever Fiction and the story I sent them is Night Lights which is a thousand-word short story using the prompts rain, sailboat and shame. If they accept it, it will be on their website within the next day or so.

I created the Beach Walking in the Desert blog several years ago so I could write and create, so I could have a place to share my view and journey. Over time, it has changed direction in the same way that life naturally meanders, sometimes through chosen trails and sometimes through the same kind of requisite change that causes dunes to be formed by the wind. During this time my boy has grown and is on the verge of manhood, we have crossed the country several times, and we were adopted by our sweet Cody dog. Whiskey Tales is the incarnation, my newest charm that speaks to me about my interests, my work, and my joy. It's because of the places I’ve been and the amber gold view that colors that world.
